Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

GrapeMC is a service business — this website doesn't sell products or process payments directly, so there's no "return" in the retail sense. This policy instead covers how refunds and cancellations work once you've engaged us for services, following a Discovery call.

2. Discovery Calls Are Free

The initial Discovery call is free and non-binding. Nothing is charged, and no commitment is made, until both sides agree on scope and pricing in a separate engagement agreement.

3. Advance / Deposit Payments

Engagements require an advance payment before work begins, as set out in your engagement agreement. The standard advance is 50% of the agreed fee, with the balance due on delivery, though this can vary by engagement, sometimes higher, depending on what's agreed with the client.

4. Cancelling Before Work Begins

If you cancel before any work has started, the advance is refunded minus a 10% cancellation fee.

5. Refunds After Work Has Started

Once work is underway, fees are non-refundable. This covers the time and resources already committed once a project has actually begun.

6. Retainer & Ongoing Engagements

For ongoing or retainer-based engagements, cancellation requires 30 days' written notice. Fees already paid for the current billing cycle are non-refundable; the retainer ends at the close of that cycle once notice is given.

7. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For active engagements, the refund and cancellation terms in your signed agreement take priority over this page.
